I think your video is really good, i really like the editing and how you turned a simple concept into a work of art.
Good Luck =)

Simple strong message, just think what would happen if we all did some big things too?

I like the way you get to all of those who litter

This one is great. Really not sure about some of the others!

After looking at the others I can see only 5 that are any good, this is weird.

This is a fine concept. I would like to restate Andrea’s statement in a different way.. In my perspective, there are only very few films in this competition which used the 1 minute to really save the world by posting their suggestions and possible solutions for a complex problem…This is surely one of them…

We say one minute but if everybody (me’s) do the right thing towards the environment, it takes only some seconds. Throw a bottle into the trash bin: 2 secs, not picking flowers/cutting down trees: 0 secs… Let’s protect our world!

This is well produced but I’m not impressed with the message. Stop littering by all means, but this doesn’t address climate change. The company selling its drink has succeeded in convincing you you needed it, you bought the unnecessary plastic bottle made from fossil fuels, you put it in the bin. Forget about it? Well where does it go next? Land-fill? Incinerator? Into the ‘Great Pacific Garbage Patch’? Decomposing and releasing toxic chemicals that harm life in rivers and oceans? Our thinking needs to get deeper than this if we have any hope of addressing this crisis.

In a competition, there are always finalists and those who don’t get through. The problem we had was that there were so many fantastic videos to choose from that there was inevitably going to be great films that didn’t make it, especially as we had to meet a criteria for each category.
However, we’ve decided to rectify this a little and reward 5 more great videos. These have been added to the shortlist and will also guaranteed receive a subscription to Shooting People. They will be on our homepage soon.
The five videos are:
Tank head, Nature finds a way, Paving the planet, Earth clock, Restore the earth
WHAT WAFFLE FROM THE JUDGES THESE FILMS SHOULD BE REMOVED!
THIS COMPETITION HAS BEEN CORRUPTED!

I thought this one would win! Shows you never know! Unlucky…I thought there was going to be an amateur category as well?
